Exclusively designed for AALUNA 100% handweaved by Wayuu artisans from North Colombia

Inspired by the ocean's movement

The "Olas" means "waves" in Spanish and captures the essence of the ocean. This design mirrors the natural rhythm and flow of water, offering a serene visual appeal. Crafted with care, it represents endless possibilities and boundless beauty, much like the sea itself.

Handwoven by Wayuu artisans

The Olas pattern is a testament to pure craftsmanship. Woven using a single-thread technique, each bag requires 3 to 4 weeks of dedication from skilled Wayuu master weavers. This process ensures both elegance and strength, offering an exclusive design that will endure over years of daily use.

Designed for functionality and style

This Wayuu bag boasts not only durability but also practicality. It features a durable interior pocket for secure storage. Though it has a non-adjustable strap, the bag perfectly fits those who appreciate details and find their rhythm in its unique style.

Designed for AALUNA

Each piece in this collection is exclusively designed for AALUNA and handwoven with love and attention by master artisans from the Wayuu tribe of la Guajira, Colombia.
These artisans weave each bag or mochila, in a single seamless piece, using traditional weaving and crochet techniques. Therefore, there may be slight variations in size from piece to piece.
By purchasing a handmade bag from this collection, you support an ethical business model that promotes South American artistic craftsmanship and preserves ancestral know-how.
On behalf of AALUNA and the Wayuu artisans who work with us, thank you for your purchase.
